We tend to demand absolute freedom and complete security which are
both impossible and if they were possible would be mutually exclusive. But in the trade off we too often opt for security over freedom.

There is risk mitigation, but there is no 100% "Safe", never has been, never will be.
I got into it with a church opening committee which I am on.
A very nice lady, a friend, said she wanted everyone to be "Safe" before we opened the church.
We have 500 seats in our sanctuary and with every 3rd row of pews open can seat maybe 100 if there are
several families, more like 60.
The service is streamed on Youtube, Book of Faces and on teh interwebs, if you don't want to attend.
Fortunately the rational amongst us had enough votes to open the church.
Masks are required, teh choir is a shell, 8 spread out instead of 30 plus.
Communion comes in small cups with a sealed wafer and sealed juice.
At some point risk has to be taken and assumed.
Risk is part of living, if there is no risk you are most likely dead.
