LSU v. North Texas

Ike may force change of stadium for LSU-North Tex. 7 hours ago BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU's athletic director says he wants the North Texas game to be played in Tiger Stadium on Saturday night as scheduled, but adds that other venues are being considered in case Hurricane Ike forces a change. Joe Alleva said on Monday that LSU has contacted officials at Texas Stadium in Dallas, Independence Stadium in Shreveport, the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Bronco Stadium in Boise, Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City, Lawson Field in Birmingham and the Superdome in New Orleans — although the Superdome would be most likely if Ike heads for the state, given Louisiana's decision making process. LSU was forced to postpone its game last Saturday against Troy after Hurricane Gustav damaged the stadium and much of the Baton Rouge area. Now, Louisiana is forecast as a possible landfall location for Ike. Alleva said the stadium is ready to host the game. He hopes to have a decision by Wednesday. If the game is moved, we will let you know. We will not change the point spread so you may want to edit your picks.
