CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN:
END OF CONTEXT
I have had enough of Jay Jacobs! Let me preface my discussion by quickly reasserting a familiar theme of my previous letters: Now that I've been exposed to Jacobs's philippics I must admit that I don't completely understand them. Perhaps I need to get out more. Or perhaps Jacobs has allowed himself to become a spokesman for the same point of view shared by pestiferous hippies, balmy, unpleasant galoots, and misinformed, slimy potlickers while masquerading as an outspoken radical bucking the system. Just between you and me, if I had to choose the most judgmental specimen from his welter of noisome gabble, it would have to be his claim that his pronouncements are Right with a capital R. Jacobs is out to judge people based solely on hearsay. And when we play his game, we become accomplices. Time cannot change his behavior. Time merely enlarges the field in which Jacobs can, with ever-increasing intensity and thoroughness, diminish our will to live.

Am I angry? You bet. Jacobs's accomplices have tried repeatedly to assure me that Jacobs will eventually tire of his plan to empty garbage pails full of the vilest slanders and defamations on the clean garments of honorable people and will then step aside and let us build an inclusive, nondiscriminatory movement for social and political change. When that will happen is unclear—probably sometime between "don't hold your breath" and "beware of flying pigs".

Jacobs has convinced a lot of people that ebola, AIDS, mad-cow disease, and the hantavirus were intentionally bioengineered by shambolic voluptuaries for the purpose of population reduction. One must pause in admiration at this triumph of media manipulation. He once tried to convince a bunch of us that extremism is the only alternative to colonialism. Fortunately, calmer heads prevailed and a number of people informed the rest of the gang that Jacobs has been trying hard to protect what has become a lucrative racket for him. Unfortunately, that lucrative racket has a hard-to-overlook consequence: it will drag everything that is truly great into the gutter some day.

Is it not positively the distinguishing feature of Jacobs's communiqués to develop a credible pretext to forcibly silence Jacobs's opponents? This is a lesson for those with eyes to see. It is a lesson not so much about Jacobs's contumelious behavior but about the way that we must maximize our individual potential for effectiveness and success in combatting Jacobs. If we fail then all of our sacrifices and all of the dreams and sacrifices of our ancestors will have been in vain. The key is to realize that Jacobs is the spawn of Satan. But there is a further-reaching implication: Mankind needs to do more to expose the connections between the postmodernist problems that face us and the key issues of adversarialism and credentialism. Understand, I am not condemning mankind for not doing enough; I am merely stating that Jacobs has been deluding people into believing that arriving at a true state of comprehension is too difficult and/or time-consuming. Don't let him delude you, too.

Jacobs is willing—even eager—to jettison his scruples in order to stay ahead of the pack. So what's the connection between that and Jacobs's claims? The connection is that there are three fairly obvious problems with his personal attacks, each of which needs to be addressed by any letter that attempts to feed the starving, house the homeless, cure the sick, and still find wonder and awe in the sunrise and the moonlight. First, his views are antiquated, misguided, and deluded. Second, he would have you believe that without his superior guidance, we will go nowhere. And third, many people have witnessed him defile the present and destroy the future. Jacobs generally insists that his witnesses are mistaken and blames his argumentative viewpoints on impertinent analphabetics. It's like he has no-fault insurance against personal responsibility. What's more, Jacobs uses the word "galvanocauterization" to justify causing riots in the streets. In doing so, he is reversing the meaning of that word as a means of disguising the fact that thoughtful people are being forced to admit, after years of evading the truth, that I have been right. I was right when I said that Jacobs's vassals merely present their allegations as though they were true, a technique known as a "conclusory" or "Kierkegaardian" leap. I was right when I said that almost every discussion of Bonapartism ignores the critical importance of Jacobs's deranged, uninformed ventures. And I was right when I said that we ought to look at our situation realistically and from a viewpoint that takes in the whole picture. That'll make Jacobs think once—I would have said "twice" but I don't see any indication that he has previously given any thought to the matter—before trying to commit senseless acts of violence against anyone daring to challenge his superstitious strictures.

I really hope that the truth will prevail and that justice will be served before Jacobs does any real damage. Or is it already too late? In classic sophist fashion, I ask another question in reply: What would Jacobs's response be if someone suggested that being shielded from the consequences of his bad judgment and bad behavior has made Jacobs careless? Jacobs doesn't want you to know the answer to that question; he wants to ensure you don't demand a thoughtful analysis and resolution of our problems with Jacobs. I hate to say this, but if we don't remove the Jay Jacobs threat now, it will bite us in our backside as soon as our backs are turned. Does he have a point? I doubt it. Now stay with me a moment here; I am making a point. Specifically, in a tacit concession of defeat, he is now openly calling for the abridgment of various freedoms to accomplish coercively what his cuckoo, peremptory politics have failed at.

Jacobs's bad enough when he's alone but he's even worse when he's joined by offensive good-for-nothings. Any day now, Jacobs's lies will be exposed and the truth can be spread. If, after hearing facts like that, you still believe that Jacobs's plans for the future prevent smallpox, then there is indisputably no hope for you. Life isn't fair. We've all known this since the beginning of time, so why is Jacobs so compelled to complain about situations over which he has no control? I'll tell you the answer in a moment. But first, let me just say that I appreciate feedback and other people's views on subjects. I don't, however, appreciate feedback when it's given in an unprofessional manner.

Jacobs may have access to weapons of mass destruction. Then again, I, not being one of the many lewd, vulgar maggots of this world, consider him to be a weapon of mass destruction himself. The very genesis of his unenlightened maneuvers is in philistinism. And it seems to me to be a neat bit of historic justice that Jacobs will eventually himself be destroyed by philistinism.

I want to thank Jacobs for his ramblings. They give me an excellent opportunity to illustrate just how bloodthirsty Jacobs can be. I, for one, would honestly not have thought it possible that he has mastered the dark arts of diversion and deception, but it's absolutely true. He has called innocent children destructive beatniks to their faces. This was not a momentary aberration or a slip of the tongue, and hence, we can safely say that if we let him turn back the clock and repeal all the civil rights and anti-discrimination legislation now on the books, all we'll have to look forward to in the future is a public realm devoid of culture and a narrow and routinized professional life untouched by the highest creations of civilization.

Rhetoric aside, given the amount of misinformation that Jacobs is circulating, I must point out that his ability to capitalize on the economic chaos, racial tensions, and social discontent of the current historical moment can be explained in large part by the following. The point is that if everyone spent just five minutes a day thinking about ways to establish democracy and equality, we'd all be a lot better off. Is five minutes a day too much to ask for the promise of a better tomorrow? I hope not, but then again, one difference between Jacobs's companions and other dark forces of anarchy and hatred is that the former intend to paint people of different races and cultures as oleaginous alien forces undermining the coherent national will. That concept can be extended, mutatis mutandis, to the way that if I were a complete sap, I'd believe his line that hanging out with what I call pretentious mountebanks is a wonderful, culturally enriching experience. Unfortunately for him, I realize that to believe that Jacobs's manifestos are not worth getting outraged about is to deceive ourselves. And that's it. One immanent characteristic of Jay Jacobs's pleas is that they squeeze every last drop of blood from our overworked, overtaxed bodies.
