Three significant memories of how the rule helped us.....
1983 UF in JHS right in front of me in section 45. fumble rolled out just on the end zone side of the pylon. Couple plays later Bo goes 80 with three or four future Pro Bowlers chasing him
2010 bammer at bryan dehenny stadium. Ball punched out of bammer RB's arm at the 20 and goes all the way through the end zone (or we maybe recovered at the end line, don't remember which call they actually made but either would give us the ball at the 20). One of three key defensive plays in the game
2022 Mizzou overtime. I know it happened but trying to blot all but the last four games of 22.
I'm sure somewhere along the line the rule has hurt us, but I can't recall one right now.

Couple of years back I was listening to ESPN on a game day and someone had fumbled through the end zone and the announcers were discussing the rule. One of them was former bama center Barrett Jones. He recalled the 2010 fumble with great sadness. His pain made me happy all over again.
