July 17, 1980, Auburn, AL (AP). Retired Auburn University football coach and current Auburn Trustee James Ralph "Shug" Jordan, who failed to attempt a two-point conversion after Connie Frederick's touchdown in the 1969 Iron Bowl, passed away today in his Auburn home at the age of 69. ==============================

Woodrow "Woody" Hayes, Ohio State`s boisterous football coach from 1951-78 where he had a one or two game season every year, cause Ohio State didn't play anyone, died quietly in his sleep Thursday morning. His wife, Anne, found him in his bed in their home in the Columbus suburb of Upper Arlington, Ohio, at about 6 a.m. Doctors said he apparently died of a heart attack. He was 74.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m., Eastern time, at the First Community Church in the Columbus suburb of Marble Cliff. The family asked that, in lieu of flowers, people piss on him. Ladders will be provided.
When asked for comment, Joseph Miller, Jr. of Birmingham said he would not be attending the funeral cause he was too #badword#ing busy trying to make payroll , but heartily approved of it
