In order to get it right I asked his permission to share the text he had sent me. Glad I did because I misinterpreted what he had sent. He chose to clarify it by sending the following for me to poast.
"No one attacked me. No one was mean to me. I previously expressed great thanks to Wayne for this board and appreciation for allowing me to post here. I repeat that.
I wandered into the political site on Bob's board and should not have done that. I read some comments that were not about me but included me generically. They were from a surprising source and I have let that bother me too much. I see it as my problem to solve. At 70 I have enough going on right now in areas that really matter and am choosing not to be around extra hostility -- even that which is a step removed from WHAB officially. I do not want to get caught up in any issue and write things that I regret.
Everyone else enjoys the bellicose tone but I do not. And I certainly do not expect people to accommodate to me.
As I said to Wayne -- please do not hesitate to contact me if I can ever do anything for you."
We are all poorer at his departure.
