How long have I said the USA was already over the cliff?
The USA is now no different than Venezuela or Argentina or Iran or Russia or anywhere else.
The fact that the Republic has turned into a Democracy is why mob rules.
No place this side of heaven is perfect. I’m not defending any that break the law. I think those entrusted with creating law, enforcing law and governing should be held to a higher standard and should be held to higher discipline when they are found guilty. But that doesn’t mitigate other criminals; it doesn’t sanctify the criminal if another criminal commits a crime against the former.
Something I just thought of last night as I was ruminating over my thoughts and info of our current affairs: My children have never had an assignment from their school work to read “1984”, “Animal Farm”, nor “Atlas Shrugged”.
I wonder how many generations since mine have not read these books.
We are no longer teaching our posterity the Ideals on which our country was founded. These are ideals to which to strived, and, as I said no one is perfect this side of heaven. We have to stay moving that way. The actions being taken today are showing that those ideals have been hijacked and redefined. We may be using the same terminology but the definitions have changed.
I’m actually for what is being protested against. However it has been hijacked by those that want to turn our country into China, into North Korea, into Vietnam, into Venezuela. The message has been lost for the methods.
It pains me to see our grand experiment dumped down the toilet.
