20 years ago, I played golf with a friend mine named Jeff at a course 1 1/2 hours north of Atlanta. We got there early, played 18, then he asked if I wanted to play another 18. We played the second 18 and then he asked if I wanted to play 9 more. I called my wife and told her that I was going to be a bit late. She asked me to pick up a roasted chicken for dinner and a pound of coffee at Kroger. After the 9 holes, Jeff and I decided o go ahead and play the back nine. I was -2 after the front so I had to play the back. So, we played 54 holes total. I noticed is was getting dark and I started driving home, forgetting that I had a 1 1/2 hour drive home. I stopped by Kroger, then headed home to find a dark house with 3 covered side items on the kitchen table and my wife in bed. It was 9pm. The next morning my wife was making breakfast and asked me where the coffee was. CRAP! I FORGOT THE COFFEE!!!
About an hour ago, I told my wife that Jeff called and asked me to play golf tomorrow. She told me, "Don't forget the coffee." 20 years? Seriously?
