Every Thursday morning, we Democrats in Congress have a breakfast meeting hosted by Congressman Jim Clyburn. It is always a classic southern breakfast and shrimp and grits are always on the menu. Needless to say, few people miss these meetings. Today, Nancy Pelosi told the story of a time when Tip O’Neill was offered grits by a butler serving at a more formal breakfast. Tip’s response: “I’ll have one.”
