"Just a note: This thing started as a board by me . . . "

and for all but one brief moment during the internet crazy days it has been free to use, without ads, and open to anyone without concern for any money making scheme.  It's provided by Mud and myself . . . and your contributions on occasion.  The content of this forum since its beginning has been provided by the posters.  There are people who come here expecting to see a certain content but don't instigate that content.  If you want to talk endlessly about what kids did or did not do right on Sat . .. or baseball or whatever Auburn . . . you are free to start that topic.  You are free to reply to that topic.  You can invite your friends to comment on such topics.  You are free to post on recruiting or horseshoes.  Have at it.  You, of course, are also free to leave or go to another forum that better suits your needs . . . if posting what you want to read about is too much of a hassle.  I realize I have a lot of influence on the topics . .. but I'm not going to apologize for posting what interest me.

Since the very first day this board  has been open to other SEC people and it has entertained politics and current events.  If that format is doomed to run all of you off and I'm left here posting by myself . .. well it wouldn't be the first time.  I'll just hand it all over to Mud and he can keep on virtual swamping or maybe Hobbes could start a law blog.  It's not like I get any income from this so it can fade into the ether if that is its fate.

I get hints here and there of people unhappy with the content . . . most of them non-posters, or almost non-posters.  I'm sorry I'm not providing what you want to read . . . but that's not how this works.

And as for political feelings getting hurt . . . there is much of that going on in the world.  You're not the lone stranger.  I can't balance the scales or change the nature of the world . . . but as long as you want to comment you're welcome to post.  If the mix is not to your liking . . . sorry.

The day the whole forum is nothing but me talking to myself . . . I'll know the experiment started on Jimmy Neill's windoz 3.1 lab computer is officially over.
