Update. Not much new.

Update on Tim Williams from his wife Rebecca Williams (7/18 9:30 am)
I have been struggling to accept that Tim will not survive without miraculous intervention. As I was praying last night, I felt that the Lord said to me “it’s ok to let him go”. I don’t understand anything about this process and am completely heartbroken, but my trust is in God and I know that He has made provision for Tim, for me, for the girls, and everyone that Tim’s life has touched. We are all etched in the palm of God’s hand and that is where I rest (Isaiah 49:16)

Tim has been moved again to a nicer, larger, brighter room. He’s in the heart hospital room 890.

Thank you for your prayers and support. Please keep praying. I am not giving up hope for a miracle, and I am laying Tim at the foot of the cross.

This reminds me of my late father who actually posted here or at least had a WAB name back in the early 2000's . .I think "OldAPIer." Dad suffered from emphysema for years. During the last 2 months of his life we noticed that he would be disoriented and from time to time fall. We chalked this up to his advanced emphysema as he was down to 10% lung capacity. One day dad fell and was unconscious, he was rushed to the hospital, intubated, and an x-ray identified a tumor in his brain. The tube was removed after a couple of days. Due to a metal plate in his head due to being wounded in Vietnam, no MRI could be performed so surgery was performed, a brain tumor was found and prognosis was stage 4. He said he wanted to try radiation, but after two sessions he had a stroke. A week later he asked to go home and smiled when my mom said he was going home. The night he got home, we served/fed him dinner. I still remember dad sucking on a small sponge that I soaked with scotch and he smiled. 30 minutes later he collapsed and rushed to the hospital. The next day my brother called me from the hospital and told me to get over there quickly. We all stood around dad's bed and said prayers. The doctor walked in and told us that he was on "auto-pilot" and he could die in an hour, a day or a week. I leaned over and whispered in dad's ear, "You lived a great life. I love you. War Eagle." Dad died the next night.

I certainly pray for a different outcome for Tim.
