The crew all decided we are getting too old and fat for this #badword#. The diet starts tomorrow. We woke up in Pasadena 36 hours ago and I've been home now just long enough to walk the dog, get a shower, and pour a bourbon and coke. Had a great time in spite of the less than desirable outcome. 3 days in Vegas, and then to Pasadena. One of my buddy's brothers lives literally up the hill from the Rose Bowl so it couldn't have worked out any better. Had a good night on the town in Pasadena. Found a great brew pub and drank too much Stone IPA. All the Noles fans we interacted with were cool. We had a couple Noles below us that we were having a good time bantering with during the game. They said they didn't know how we handled these games all season, they were spent. The Noles as a group were cocky and overconfident before the game, afterwards I think they had a better appreciation for what playing in a real conference is all about. The venue is quite honestly the best I've ever visited. The actual stadium isn't great for watching a game, but the surroundings can't be beat. #badword#ing beautiful. Also the folks running the show did a great job, and were very complimentary of the Auburn folks that made the trip. The AU alumni tailgate was well done, worth every bit of the $80. We had a blast, just wish we could have held them on that last drive, but those are the breaks. Proud of those Tigers, and this season is still likely the tops as far as I'm concerned. Gonna need to load up the Gus Bus with some klonopin to mix into the Kool Aid for next season. I can't take many more of these.
