JOE would have loved this season -- but a grace is that the Miller boys
do not have to paint 109 Yards on all four doors, the trunk, the hood and the roof of his car. And the roof of his house and re arrange all of the landscaping in his yard with 34 - 28 spelled out in plants. ==============================
Bama wins were very special to him, and especially when AU was the underdog....
It would be right there with the '72, '82, '89 games where AU was supposed to be destroyed....
That the stakes were so high for both squads and it denied Bama the chance to play for the MNC
might actually vault it into 1st place, because he truly enjoyed a Bama loss also....
He would have watched the game many times and could tell you what each AU player did on each play...
He was a student of the game and was convinced if AU would let him call the plays they would be
unbeaten....
He was impressed with Coarch Malzhan as a Coarch and person, and it was high praise from him
saying he was the best play caller he ever saw....
He loved Gus's offense, and would have enjoyed seeing the great "O" Line play, QB ball handling
and power running this season...
He would have loved that it was Chris Davis a Woodlawn grad, who also just graduated AU, was
the one who took the missed FG to the house....
Woodlawn was his adopted High Schrool since most of his kids went there and Ramsay did not
field a football team any more...
I talked with my old roomie last night, we talked about Dad and how much fun he would have had
laughing at the youtube videos of the Bama fans reactions and just talking about the AU wins....
