"It was a horrible read . . . "

Message Replied To ==========

I felt the same way until I listened to Hobbes Link

with Jack Crow's & PAte.  I read TT (which usually I studiously avoid because I have a JackA$$ allergy) & then went back to the replay  & saw and as you pointed out on your poast that  Ricardo takes the two safeties (not CB as some think) leaving Sammy crossing the zones...which is where you drew him on your link.  I hope the crew at C&M diagram that play- it was well designed if poorly executed by Nick.

But listening to Jack's (who I greatly respect) contemporaneous comments  regarding "stretch cathcher [Ricardro] vs body catcher [Sammy]" and also the "look into the eyes in the huddle" comment - I have changed my mind.  I probably would just blow those off as post play/game "I knew it" crap you hear on ESPN/CBS- but his was said before the play and Jack said "who is in the slot- he is the guy"

Having said that I woke up this morning thinking "God we are lucky because that was a terrible...no horrible read"

BTW I thought his touch was really good until 4th quarter- and even then he only had one behind the player throw...

and one of the greatest plays in Auburn history.
