Monday night March 8, 2004 a girl walked into a hospital in labor. She could / would not take her child home and had made no arrangements with any agency to take the child. My wife and I had tried for many years to have a child without success. The doctor on call that night was just filling for one of his partners and he happens to be a close friend. He called and ask if we wanted a baby.......like any good husband, I said I did not know and I would need to check with my wife.
Long story short, on March 10 that little boy came home with us and has been ours ever since. We are thankful beyond words that his mother made the choice to deliver him and ultimately to allow us to become his parents.
Post script.....21 months later his brother was born.
