Read the whole thing, fail to find a relevant point
It's scientists' fault that people don't understand how science works?
It's scientists' fault that often the best form of evidence we can obtain comes in the "most likely" rather than the "certain" category?
It's scientists' fault when charlatans take advantage of the uneducated masses by claiming their pseudoscience is science?
It's science journalists' fault that they don't understand highly advanced science well enough to attack it publicly? We do have such a thing as peer review, and it works astonishingly well (it's simply not done publicly).
Scientists aren't priests and science is no religion (or doesn't find Truth, anyway), he says with some conviction-- but never tells us how that is a bad thing in any form or fashion.
There's a lot of groaning in that article and not a single suggestion as to something that would be better.

Great are the works of the Lord; they are studied by all who delight in them.
Psalm 111:2 which was written above the first chemistry lab at Cambridge Univ.
There can be no gap between the bible and science tho there is at times between some scientists and the Bible and between some XNs and science. And tho there is some overlap they deal with different perspectives and areas of information.
As I understand it science tries to describe the observable world (which God has made). The Bible is God's revelation of himself and how we can be made right with him. The bible does not deal with details of chemistry, biology, etc and science cannot save us. Scientists do at times act as priests/prophets and say more than is empirically verifiable and XNs at times go beyond what the bible actually says and go on the attack trying to defend turf they feel is under attack.
There IS a line of separation between those who are saved and those who are not; between those who believe and those who do not; but science is not that line.

“In the world it is called Tolerance, but in hell it is called Despair...the sin that believes in nothing, cares for nothing, seeks to know nothing, interferes with nothing, enjoys nothing, hates nothing, finds purpose in nothing, lives for nothing, and remains alive because there is nothing for which it will die.” Dorothy Sayers
