Oh I know, but the scriptures I'm referring to don't concern
the pre-church age but the decline in morals etc. during the mature church age.

WE were enslaving entire races to do hard labor. 70 years ago two world superpowers attempted to eliminate another race off the face of the earth. 45 years ago we had the killing fields in Cambodia.
Depravity is not worsening overall. Human nature just sucks. It always has.
In the US, religion is being "attacked" (for lack of a better word) as collateral damage in a societal mindset that centralized control by the state is of utmost importance..anything that gets in the way of that conformity is a target.
