Some of you may remember that the Batjac family lost of beloved 15 year old Lab/Golden mix Dixie last fall. We made it through Christmas and spring break and I through we might make it a little while longer but last week the girls (13 &11) started talking about the puppy we promised since they had never had a puppy. So yesterday afternoon we go to look at A Golden/Flat Coat Retriever mix. Notice the capitalization of the A. We were going to get A puppy. There was a litter of eight of which four were taken. We wanted a female so there were three black ones and one blonde available. Before I knew what had happened my daughters had one of each in their arms and my wife was saying, “we can take care of two of them”…………………. I tried to fight back but the cause was lost. SO yesterday I had no dogs and today I have two. They are cute though aren't they? I want to call them Cagney and Lacy but I don't think the girls will go along with that.
