I am proud to cheer for old Notre Dame on Monday night and have none of the "cheer for the meteor" qualms of some of my Tiger brethren.
It will remind me of pleasant childhood moments when Ara Parseghian's Irish teams foiled Bammer in the Sugar (Tom Clemens' pass to some 8th string tight end out of the ND endzone to secure victory) and Orange Bowls in what I believe were consecutive seasons in the 70s.
Notre Dame wears navy blue (the most beautiful hue in the world), has great tradition, and a mural of our Savior overlooking its home field.
Alabama wears that godawful Crimson that even midlevel prostitutes refuse to don, has a great tradition of moronic rednecks in its fan base that kill sacred vegetation and like to share their scrotums with complete strangers in fast food restaurants, and has a "savior" (who likely did not wrassle a bhar) overlooking its field from the gaudiest of jumbotrons.
This is about as unambiguous as it gets, brothers and sisters. Get with the program.
