"GE's thread below was just about perfect. In fact, it deserves..."

CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN:
END OF CONTEXT

...a more detailed explication.

GE started the thread as a relatively pedestrian flame that nonetheless hit all the right notes:  a throw away subject line which clumsily suggests that a persistent criminal element exists in Tuscaloosa.  The sole evidence:  a herky-jerky youtube video showing a drunken brawl at a Waffle House narrated by an obviously inebriated idiot.

Nevermind that such random dust-ups happen every weekend at any given college town in the country.  Its beauty was in its simplicity.  GE's objective was so transparent that it borders on the laughable.  Yet still, his flame found a mark.  And oh what a rich thread of non-sequiters followed.  It touched upon:

A pugilistic critique of drunken brawlers;

The superiority of Saban's recruiting ability;

The implied corruption of said recruiting;

Pimped rides;

The hypocrisy of Occupy Wall-Street protesters;

Class warfare;

Updyke and the Toomer's tree poisoning;

Pro-Wrestling;

Wedding Performance Art;

Existential philosophy;

Ribbon Nazis;

Double entendres and bad rhymes involving tripe;

A reference to haggis.

The thread was wrapped with a bow (courtesy of Iggy & RT) and a literary nod toward Scottish National poet Robert Burns.  If GE's thread was a song, David Allen Coe would have to sing it. It was the near perfect WHAB thread.  All that was missing was a recipe.
