CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT We were in zone when #2 for Clemson turned an 8 yard pass into  a 60-something yard TD for Clemson's first lead of the day. Similarly, we were in zone for the same guy's 20-yard TD to ice the game. So don't tell me zone is death by a 1000 cuts. The AU zone can give up the big play, too. It is multiple. We can do a lot of bad things out of it, particularly when we throw the arm-tackle and leave your feet too soon packages. This is how cold-hearted cynics do their analysis. the death of a 1000 cuts... I am not sure the zone D has stopped a pass yet... I did not sleep at a Holiday Inn last night, but to me AU should just go Mano @ Mano on pass D... Make the QB make a decent pass, if AU gets beat deep and gives up the big play,at least it is the "O"s turn.. Also much easier to Blitz in man, again see my thesis about getting beat if Blitzing...
