But did the dumb #badword# watch Auburn's defense at all during the season? To lay our success, such as it was on defense, on "only Nick" is perhaps the dumbest thing I've ever heard a malinformed Bammer say . . . well besides "Roll Damn Tide" of course. I watched our pathetic defense grow into something less pathetic. In the end it was the defense that saved the day when all hope was lost (and when we did not run Dyer like I said in the MNC game). The past year is perhaps the greatest defensive coaching job I've seen . . . and I'm for Auburn . . . I've seen some #badword#ing amazing defensive coaching. Our defense sucked and no amount of Nick changed that from game 1 to game 14. He was great all year . . . yet the defense got better and better even as the number of players got less. Our DC and HC deserve credit for covering our numerous holes on defense . . . and projecting something resembling an SEC defense.
