These laws like AL has just passed are the most assinine political posturing bull#badword#. illegals do hard labor that these #badword#s drawing a check from the g'vt are not willing to do. They also pay taxes through payroll deductions, and I'd imagine they also aren't filing returns so they're not getting anything back (including EIC which they would probably qualify for). These folks are by and large only interested in working hard to improve their lives, and their families lives. I thought that's what America was about? Also, who exactly is going to enforce this new legislation? Our local and state law enforcement people don't have the manpower or funding necessary. People are really going to start bitching when they are paying 2-3 times what they currently are for produce. I paid $1.29 for a #badword#ing lemon last week. One #badword#ing lemon. What's the price gonna be when all the pickers are rounded up? I'm all for securing or borders, but this "illegals are taking all our jobs" canard just doesn't pass the smell test on any level.
