Several of you may remember the story of a girl who was essentially homeless that joined the wrestling team back when we first started at Northgate. With no government assistance, No appreciable family and nothing but sheer determination she will be graduating from West Georgia with a degree in Geology on Saturday. This moment stands next to giving her away at her wedding as my absolute proudest as a coach. It also proves that no matter what circumstances you are delt as an accident of birth that anyone can overcome anything. If just ten percent of our students had this kind of drive no one would doubt the American dream is still alive and you literally can be anything you want to in America.
