To say they aren't in ideal conditions is putting it mildly. For starters, Auburn is at the northern edge of their range. Plus all that impervious surface they are surrounded by, the abuse they get from not just the rolling, but from all the traffic. live oaks which are that old should look much more impressive than those two. As a Land Grant institution, Auburn should hopefully redesign that corner and relocate new trees in a manner that is more consistent with "what we preach".
