"Stewart & Limbaugh are flip sides of the same coin."

CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN:
END OF CONTEXT
Limbaugh's know it all, hyper partisan, blow-hard persona was created as a satire of the supposedly "unbiased" political reporting that characterized broadcast news (i.e. Dan Rather) when Limbaugh appeared on the airwaves some twenty odd years ago.Stewart's similar smarmy on-air delivery is a post-modern take on Limbaugh's show. Smarmy because Stewart's mock serious elocution and his "wink-wink nod-nod" delivery is pure pastiche. Post-modern because though Stewart claims he is above the fray and his show is merely "satire," the Daily Show has become the primary source of political culture for an entire generation.Of course, your typical Daily Show viewer would not only see this as a non-analogous comparison, they would in fact see it as heretical to their world view. See, they are in on the "joke." Those thoughtless cretins who listen to Limbaugh are simply intellectually incapable of grasping the ironic nuances of Stewart's "unique" brand of humor.
