First, what a pleasure this season has been..........we ran the ball 66% of the time and won the MNC! Congrats to my buddy Jay Jacobs for having the fortitude to hire the right guy 2 years ago in the face of vehement criticism. Congrats to Coach Chizik, his officers and his men for a memorable, memorable season. A year never to be forgotten by your Sobertiger, Mrs. Sobertiger, Sobertigerette, Sobertiger, Jr. and Sobertiger, Jr's younger brother.
We ran the ball and we stopped the run; and because we ran the ball, we threw it with beauty, grace and amazing efficiency and success. A year of sober thinking resulting in the first MNC since 1957. Oh how sweet it is.
Where is the fatman, WDE, and my other AU Board rivals to whom I have been the Loyal Opposition for lo these 14 or 15 years?!?!? Tuberville flamed out as expected and thankfully so; and now we are awash in what may very well be several years of "bountiful harvest" on the Plains as every great running back and offensive and defensive lineman in the country will have us on their Top 3 list because we have returned to playing Real Auburn Football.
My apologies for this long hibernation. Your Sobertiger returns from a long and restful sleep ready to do battle with anyone who would dare question the formula that brought the Crystal Football home to Auburn.
