END OF CONTEXT
1) I intend to enjoy the remainder of the Auburn football season as much as humanly possible. Undefeated seasons are rare. Ask the folks in Gainesville if you do not believe me. Part of my planned enjoyment involves AU breaking the UGA streak on Saturday. I think the Tigers have the stuff to do this, but I am worried. A portion of my fretting involves all the turmoil surrounding the program, but most of it centers on UGA having talent in areas where we have struggled. I take comfort in Auburn being a senior laden team, and I think the Cam stuff will bring them together, not cause division. I would like to see more poasts about the Georgia game.
2) For me, enjoying the remainder of the season requires focus on what is enjoyable and distance from what is not. Crazy conspiracy theories in conjunction with unfettered acting out on anger and disappointment no longer constitutes fun for me. Your mileage may vary. This does not mean that I am not angry and disappointed at what has happened and when it has happened to Cam Newton and Auburn. It does mean that I do not believe my anger and disappointment should be directed at, for example, Mississippi State University or its head football coach and compliance officer, especially on a weekend when MSU is my second favorite team. Again, your mileage may vary. As in every year I can remember, I want Mississppi State to beat Bama and to do so in a fashion that brings shame and angst to the Capstone's program and its supporters. Go State!
