A rumor I read on the internet showed that the Underground Railroad used cowbells to warn fleeing slaves from Bounty Hunters. Also, if GI's heard a cowbell on a cow, they knew it was safe to walk across a field. If there were no cowbells, they knew the Nazis probably mined it.
If the rest of the SEC wants to be like slaveowners and Nazis, be my guest. However, as for me I stand by God, America, Freedom, and my Cowbell.
