I read a novel about golf once, where a guy was granted a wish and asked to be a scratch golfer. As a result of his wish, he made even par on every hole of golf he played. Never a birdie or a bogey, just even par. The boredom was ruining his game, so he started intentionally hitting ridiculously bad shots just to see how he could miraculously make his par.
