Not the team, you fans. One more game like that and all of y'all are gonna keel over from a simultaneous heart attack! Talk about a tales of two halves. (Actually, the tale of one quarter.) Clemson came out tough, disciplined, and ready to play. Auburn looked discombobulated. Cam especially looked way off. Then three consecutive TDs in the third quarter. Then Clemson drives and scores. Then, after drilling a long FG, Auburn almost loses as the Clemson qb sees a wide open receiver in the end zone and hits the guy in his outstretched hands, but the guy can't hang on. Then the short FG is made, but there's a penalty. Miss, game over. Incredible.
Congrats for such a gutsy win. Clemson did a lot of things right all night long. The box score is definitely in Clemson's favor in some key areas. First Downs: CL 27 AU 19, Turnovers: CL 0 AU 2, Penaties: CL 5 AU 9, Time of Possession: CL 34:20 AU 25:40. But total yards was even and Auburn outrushed Clemson. Bottom line is that Auburn overcame their own mistakes and Clemson's good play and found a way to win.
