This game was one of the best football games I've ever seen in my entire life, despite the fact we lost. From when I woke up at 6:00am to practice for band until just now, it has been thrilling. Running out of that tunnel and feeling my ears go numb from the thousands of fans cheering all around me when I performed in pregame was one of the best experiences of my entire life. I love being in the band and supporting my Tigers!
I played my heart out for them; my lips are charred, bleeding, and red like I'm wearing lipstick but I don't care. I'm crushed that we lost, but the caliber of the team makes up for all that. My aunt called me [an Alabma alumni] and told me that she thought we basically beat them--Bama just had a bit more time a luck on its side. I'm inclined to agree with her.
Argh, have to clear the inbox of my phone. All these people are sending me "Roll Tide Roll," and other various taunts of crap. But despite the idiotic Bama fans that got in my face and jeered as I walked back to my dorm in my uniform, I held my head high and smirked, knowing that I was taking the higher road and I was being a better person by not responding. I am so proud right now to wear my band uniform, from my plume down to my shoes. The AUMB and I represent this university, and the team we support represents the school even more
War Damn Eagle.
