Today we went to Magnolia Springs Episcopal Chapel's annual sale of crafts, art, food, etc fund raiser. Wife loves that stuff and we've been to it a couple of times before.
I had on my Pentagon tee shirt. A nice woman asked me if I had worked at the Pentagon. I told her no, that one of my wife's friends is married to a general and they got a special tour of it two years ago and she bought me the shirt there.
She told me she worked there for two years several years ago and met the man she married later. She said, "He was a navy man and we lived in many places, but mostly Hawaii. It was wonderful. Barack Obama went to the same school as my son did. We all called him Barry at the time. He was tall and his arms and legs were like broomsticks. It was a tragic case because his parents had left him and he was being raised by his grandmother."
I asked her, "Was Barack Obama born in Hawaii?"
Her reply, just matter of fact tone, "Oh no, he was born in Kenya."
