I was talking to a good friend of mine last night. We were in grad school together, and we both are again working for Auburn after having gone off somewhere else for a few years. Anyway, we got to discussing the horrible decision to move the iron bowl to Friday. Whoever decided to do this should be forced marched, bullet, bill, etc. Both of us are going out of town for Thanksgiving, and by out of town I'm talking 600+ miles. I had been planning on coming back for the game, my family was adjusting Thanksgiving dinner to accommodate my schedule (we were going to do it Wed. night), but after the past couple weeks I decided to fore go that idea. I don't want to inconvenience my entire family just so I can rush back down to watch a football game. That said, I think it's total bull#badword# that the moved the game. I haven't talked to any Auburn person that's happy about it. My buddy said it's all about money. I'm sure he is right. Just like those damn high dollar tailgate spots (which I didn't realize AU is only getting a 15% cut of the profits from). I'm surprised they even let the unwashed masses come to the games at all.
