My family sure could use some prayers and any positive mojo.
My younger brother William "Bill" DeGennaro was on a detail training Afghanis to be self-sufficient last week. During some downtime, Bill suffered a stress induced seizure that caused him to be asphyxiated by his own vomit. He is currently comatose in the ICU at Lundstuhl Army Hospital in Germany. Bill's twin, George, is with him and caring for him 24/7. Bill will be trasported to the states in the coming days, hopefully to Johns Hopkins.
Bill received the Catholic sacrament of Annointment yesterday. At this point, the docs give him a 1% chance of ever coming out of this coma. The last few have been some of the toughest days of my life. Bill is one of the best people I have ever known, and I am truly blessed that he is my brother.
