I had pretty much given up on this team, but I thought we finally hit our stride in Fayettenam.
The offense was efficient, getting their business done quickly and then returning to the sideline to plan for the next series. An interesting side benefit of this is that the refs didn't get their hands bruised having the ball thrusted forcefully at them after 90 offensive plays, thus making them call the game our way, I suspect. Some very questionable calls vs. the pigs.
The kickoff coverage team gave up no TD's. Boulware nominated for Broyles.
Coleman selflessly continued to draw blockers away from other defenders, allowing our young defensive players to gain valuable experience in the Auburn tradition of hog midget RB missed tackles breakout games. They'll be ready for this in 2010 and not take a quarter to adjust.
Todd made a strong on-field endorsement of Dr. Andrews's surgical acumen with his overthrow. A fine gesture of appreciation for mending his shoulder.
The adjustments that the coaches made during the 3rd to 4th quarter break were an indication of how quickly they can affect momentum in a game.
The Chiz airport heckler was allowed to move back into Sewell Hall Sunday.
Eddins didn't allow a sack.
We learned by experience that eye black goes under the eyes, not IN the eyes, so we'll have an even faster start if and when we ever play another day game.
Freeman didn't become air sick this week.
Lowder and Petrino shared a bucket of mixed original and crispy at the airport after the game, and were home in time to watch J. Snead light up ssimelo.
