"I would qualify this to a degree. I agree that this board is more"

one-sided. Conservatives outnumber liberals signficantly. Are they more anti-left in the amplitude of their commentary than liberals of the Lounge are in their anti-right commentary? I would disagree with this. The two top liberal posters of the Lounge have been relentless, daily Republican bashers for years. Hardly a single day passes where they aren't railing against Republicans this, Republicans that. The only negative commentary I can recall their making about any Democrat was strictly about Hillary--but only because she was running against Obama. With that exception, they've defended every action any Democrat has taken anywhere. Why bring them up? Two words: post count. They make tons of posts. Because of it, the board takes on the flavor of their posts, many, many of which are made with the intention of smearing the opposition.

That said, there IS a balance of conservatives and liberals in the Lounge. And it's precisely that balance that leads to incendiary commentary. Many days it's just one post after another from both sides. (Albert, as a moderator, could perhaps verify this.) Here someone makes a nasty comment about Obama, and the conservatives agree so they nod their heads and have little follow up. In the Lounge, it would start off a multi-day crapstorm.
