… you or anyone else here? Considering the treatment I’ve gotten here from the get-go, I don’t even WANT to know anything about you personally. So why the hell would you think I’d want to share my personal life with you? I certainly understand why people use handles instead of their real names on an internet message board. My comment (as IF you didn’t know) was about all the use of extra “alias” board handles instead of their usual board handles. Seems chicken-#badword# to me. Especially when they basically follow around my every post like adoring little fan boys.
No one here may even admit to themselves (much less acknowledge it on the board), but, for all the complaints here about my tone and opinions, and for all my fan-boys following me around with their smart-ass replies and monkey-tags…. The FACT is, I have never, not once, initiated the “personal attack” sequence against anyone. Or even seriously slammed anyone’s particular opinion on a topic. Not once. I challenge anyone to find one example otherwise. Because I’m pretty damned tolerant of other people’s opposing opinions. I don’t feel the need to shut them down or shut them up and say they don’t belong in America because they hold a different opinion, which is what I get from my fan boys here.
As an example, my first recent post on healthcare over here. It wasn’t a thread I started, I generally don’t do that. I just responded to an opposing viewpoint with my own, illustrating the problems I saw with our healthcare system, such as costing 4X more per capita than any other nation, while covering far less of our citizens. I made no personal attack on anyone. I just expressed my viewpoint. Another poster who did not LIKE my viewpoint jumped in and suggested I leave America since I didn’t like our healthcare system. That kind of intolerant inflammatory unprovoked rhetoric DOES fire me up. So in RESPONSE, all I did was list a few things about our current national environment that I knew HE didn’t like, starting with our highest office holder, and suggested maybe HE should leave the country instead. Just turning his own ridiculous “leave America” post back on him. That’s all it took for my fan boys to start pissing themselves in their excited rush to literally call me “asshole”, “bastard”, and make comments about my mother, etc. So when it comes to character, integrity, board behavior… I am ABOVE them. Better than! It’s true whether anyone else acknowledges it or not.
So regardless of the pile-on and my being out-numbered, it’s THEIR tone and character and behavior that is ridiculous, not mine. I fire back at them because they started the attacks, THEY make it personal, with stupid irrelevant “insult” replies to my every post, and then have the gall to whine about MY tone. One guy called me a bastard and other words the filter edited out, and then had the hypocrisy to criticize MY mouth in his very next post.
But all my fan boys here, that’s THEIR niche, their spesh-ial-i-tee. Didn’t get enough of it in grade school, I guess. I try just debating the topics. I cannot help it if my stance on a subject offends someone, like the doctors and dentists here if I discuss our health care system, and my problems with a for-profit healthcare system as a whole, or some of the GROUP actions doctors have taken, such as capping medical school enrollments to reduce competition and protect their profit margins, at the expense of the health care of the whole nation. But I never PERSONALLY attacked any of them, or anyone ELSE here, unless they explicitly did that to me FIRST. In that case, I think they deserve the same in reply. First blood and all that.
