CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT EVERY fan thinks their team will get better in the future except for the fans of champions, they think their team will merely continue to succeed. Sure UF supporters are arrogant, but not any more than other fans. By definition you have to be successful to be arrogant otherwise you're just a blowhard. UF is successful. Also by definition you have to make presumptions and assumptions to be arrogant. As I pointed out before all fans do this, but it would seem from the facts of past performance and the national unbiased projections of future results UF fans just might have better cause than most to act this way. Who brings more back than UF? Who is more likely to win a title? The only thing that separates Gator fans from other fans as regards arrogance is that our team has won the title, both conference and national, two of the past three years. The effort of those Gator teams has earned Gator fans the right to claim their team is superior - it's the major point of SEC football competition: to play out a season and decide who is best. If not we wouldn't have a title game. And that's what UF is right now, the best. Could change this coming season, in fact historicaly it is likely UF won't win another national title and it is probably only even money they repeat as SEC champs. However, UF is not only the defending champ, they are the favorite to win it again. What better time can you imagine for UF fans to be enthusisatic about their team and it's future? Throw in basketball and we can then take into account UF won 4 major national championships in a span of only 2 years and 10 months. Account for all SEC sports and UF is celebrating winning the All SEC Sports Trophy for the 19th time in 22 years and their 9th sweep of all three categroies - no other SEC team has swept the awards even once. Are UF fans still merely arrogant, or is their football team and entire athletic program performing at such a very high level that it deserves this magnitude of pride and enthusiasm from its supporters?
