So you have a program that has, at least in terms of perception, lost recruiting momentum the last couple of years and they have a chance to have an 'event' type game in a hotbed of southeast recruiting. This is the same game your cross-state rival used last year to boost their national exposure right at the onset of the season and helped them establish a recruiting foothold in this same hotbed of southeast recruiting. I fail to see the upside for auburn in this, I mean sure there could be real rewards for the program overall, but there is a risk of a loss that could mean the Liberty Bowl rather than the Music City Bowl.*
*If there is a concern that UCLA is too daunting a task for the 2010 auburn squad then I think this is the situation y'all will probably find yourselves in.
