When I tell people I voted for Clinton in 96 and my preferred choice in the 04 elections would have been Joe Lieberman, that doesn't matter because I didn't like Gore, Kerry and Obama.
When I say I don't want either party to control all the levers of government, and openly wished the Democrats would win at least one house of Congress in 06, that doesn't matter because I wanted Gore, Kerry and Obama to lose.
When I criticize Bush for spending like a drunken sailor, that doesn't matter because I don't support big government social programs.
When I point out how ridiculous and insane the hard Right is with their lunatic conspiracy theories about Obama being a muslim Manchurian Candidate or not really being a US citizen, that doesn't matter because I criticized the hard Left for their lunatic conspiracy theories the last 8 years.
When I say Ann Coulter is IMO a vile bitter hate monger, that doesn't matter because I think Olberman is one too.
When I praise Hillary Clinton and several other prominent Democrats for authorizing the use of force in Iraq, that doesn't matter because they didn't like the policy.
When I say I agree much more with the Democrats'/Left's positions on gay marriage, stem cell research, the right to die, soft drug legalization/regulation/taxation, legalization/regulation/taxation of prostition, prayer in school, bank bailout, etc etc etc that doesn't matter because I agree more with the Right's positions on wanting smaller government and less social program spending, am hawkish about national security issues and do not support the anthropogenic global warming agenda.
In short, the message is: if you criticize us or our agenda then you're one of "them".......nevermind all your criticisms of them. Our way goes!"
