for hours. It was strange. The day before he got into town, she was still complaining to me about my letting someone I knew from, as she put it, "some stupid sports board" stay at out house...and 24 hours later, they were talking like old friends. From that time on, they spoke on the phone fairly regularly. Sometimes he would send me e-mail messages and tell me to make sure I printed them out (he never would send them directly to her for whatever reason) 'cause he wanted to know what L though about whatever situation it was. My wife didn't even want to be friends with him at first....that's what kind of guy he really was.
