Not sure you were best hire available. Not sure you have the upside that a Turner Gill might have had.
You left Auburn once before, for a relatively lateral move. Maybe this is your way of saying that was a mistake. I can understand the allure of UTx as well.
You've not done well as a HC so far. Resoundingly poorly it seems like.
But you know defense. You know what success looks like. You understand Auburn, at least a little. You could have stayed away knowing some of the downside here. You weren't going to be canned at ISU for another year or two, at worst.
So while I have grave reservations about the process, I have my concerns that you're qualified...I wish you all the luck in the world. Go build a great staff. Work your butt off. Build men as solid as CTT did. Win.
