"Again, I Will Say....."

CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN:
END OF CONTEXT

1. Bobby Lowder, through his lobbyists, controls the Senate Confirmations Committee, through which all AU Trustee appointments must go.

2. Rane, as well as a majority of the board, owe their seats to Lowder.

3. The Board of Trustees hires the President.

4. The President hires the Athletic Director.

After Jetgate, how many Trustees resigned? None.

After Jetgate, when President William Walker and David Housel were made the sacrificial lambs for what was a Trustee intiative, why did Auburn continue to pay President Walker over $300,000 per year until the day he died? Why was David Housel allowed to stay on for a full year more (to hit his D.R.O.P. program retirement with the State), the press box named after him and why was he given a job with Tigers Unlimited making the same salary he was making as AD? Silence, perhaps? No. Silence, bought.

Follow the money.

It goes to one man.

It sounds like one faction was very pro-Chizik, and the other wasn't (more Muschamp). If I had to bet, Yellow Boy is driving this.

"In the end, sources close to the search say, the two finalists were Chizik and Buffalo coach Turner Gill. And the nod, at least for now, has gone to Chizik. It’s unfortunate because Auburn had an opportunity to make a statement, to turn the negativity surrounding the departure of Tommy Tuberville after 10 seasons into something very positive. Alabama had a similar opportunity, chose Mike Shula over Sly Croom, and paid the price." -- Philip Marshall, December 13, 2008.
