in favor of Meatchicken who's only wins over ranked teams were over Wisconsin (who beat zero ranked opponents) and ND (who beat zero ranked opponents) and which had just come off a 14 point loss to OSU in its last game. We all know there is no way in hell U$C would ever fail to get the media-love that is an important component in the current system. In fact, when they were left out of the MNC game in 03 it was because the computers said they weren't as good-because their schedule was weak. After that there was an outcry and the computer rankings' share of the BCS ranking was downgraded to just 1/3rd of the total. The AP also gave them a share of the MNC in 03 despite the fact that they didn't even play in the MNC game. Yet......those very same voters saw fit to not do the same for AU in 04 despite the fact that AU was undefeated which U$C was not in 03 and despite the fact that AU played a much tougher schedule.
U$C is one of the LAST schools that should be complaining about the current system. They are big benificiaries of it. They just can't make it this year because their schedule is PATHETIC. The only other LAC 10 team that is ranked is Cal at #21 and if U$C beats them this week they won't be ranked at all. Their only quality win was OSU.......and how much "quality" is in that win after what we've all seen from the SEC's bitch the last few years? They won't get in because they don't DESERVE to get in this year. Sneaky Pete is just crying because they can't manipulate the system EVEN MORE in U$C's favor.
