turkeys, fish, etc. Was trying to limit myself to one fuel source in the big scheme. I was looking for a way to get the BTU for searing things like Tuna Steak which requires a high BTU...something a gas grill can't achieve, but an infra-red (as well as charcoal) will do.
You are right about the coal.....and to take it to another level, there's nothing better than the taste of hickory when smoking....but that's another unit..and source of fuel...
I don't think the wife would go for another piece of equipment on the back deck that requires more beer consumption on my part....(another source of fuel)....
