not even the same universe. Yes....this board does have a more rightist tilt to it but in LSDAS the skew is vastly greater the other way, as is the shrill tone and incredible self righteousness. I'm sure you've noticed the vast majority of the folks who no longer post there are either in the center or right of center (depending on the issue) I'm sure. Nothing like that has taken place here.
To give you an example of what I really hate.....I was talking to my sister just this weekend telling her how much I hate the faux outrage that is so prevalent in American politics today. Its gotten to the point where I can't help sarcastically commenting that I think a lot of folks derive some kind of sexual pleasure from standing up and bellowing out "I'm SOOOO OFENDED!!!! (Huff Huff Huff) and working themselves up into a good lather........uhhh.....you might want to change your shorts after that little tirade..... 
They all do it. Hillary says "hard working voters.....white voters vote for me....." and a hissy fit ensues. 1. all you had to do was watch any news channel that has covered any of the elections in the Democratic primary to hear the commentators say exactly the same thing because....IT HAPPENS TO BE TRUE!!!! Response? Hissy fit. "SHE MUST BE A RACIST!!!! (Huff Huff Huff). Obama shoots back at McCain saying "the Senator has lost his bearings on (this or that issue)." Response? AGEISM!!!!!!! (Huff Huff Huff). Now a day or two ago Bush tells the Knesset "Appeasement is a really bad idea as the world learned the hard way with all the attempts to appease Hitler." Response? Obama's camp screams "HE'S POLITICIZING FOREIGN AFFAIRS! ITS SOOOO UNFAAAAAAIR TO ACCUSE ME OF APPEASEMENT!!!!!" (Huff Huff Huff) Uh....dude.....he never even came close to mentioning you.
What do you see in LSDAS? "F YOU BUSH.....GOD I HATE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!! (Huff Huff Huff). Its quite obvious several posters take their cues from the most shrill nutroot sites that are no better than Stormfront or sites like that on the Right which I'm equally disgusted by. I can cite several whom I cannot recall once deviating from the standard Democratic Party line on any issue. No thanks. That does not evidence independent thought or an openness to discuss. Just put your head down, plug your ears to anything else and bash bash bash. Never stop bashing no matter what. I don't need to read that crap. Rational discussion and agreement to disagree on some points while explaining why you think what you think went out at LSDAS a while ago.
