The government is a model of caring and efficiency. Just look at how well they are handling the schools. The cleanup from lead dust (caused by the maintenance contractor) of the Spanish Fort school is a shining example. Two weeks of disinformation and confusion later, an article appears in the paper that they haven't even gotten INTO the buildings to clean because they want to clean up outside to make sure they don't track lead in. I guess powerwashing a sidewalk and getting a dedicated entrance into the building doesn't make sense. I need to go to the schoolboard meeting and ask them if they have a resource loaded critical path schedule, but I think they would look at me like a cow staring at a new gate. I'm guessing this mistake is going to cost Baldwin County (us) a million before it's over. Because an awning needed sandblasting. Probably a $2000 awning.
