Tubs - if AU fires him or lets him go to TAMU for a song, then the people running the AD are nuts. Tuberville is a very good coach. Yes, AU got housed in the second half on Saturday, but UGA appears to have caught fire the last couple of weeks. IMO, this AU team is just not as talented as the ones we have seen the last couple of years. The D, while very good at times, is not as intimidating as the 2004-2006 additions. I think there is some young talent there, so they may become that intimidating force again. Second, while Lester is a fine RB, he is not a Cadillac, a Brown or even an Irons IMO. I don't know who AU has coming up, but when AU has dominated it is b/c they have had dominant RBs. Finally, while Cox is by all accounts a great kid and good at times, he is a middle of the pack SEC qb.
All of that was not to demean AU but to point out that Tommy has done a pretty good job with a team not quite as talented in years past. If he beats BAMA for the 6th time in a row, you still have to consider this a pretty damn good season with a young team. Letting him go could easily send AU on a Bama-esque coaching carousel (so, by all means, let him go!
