"Congrats To LSU"
|
CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT Hard fought game all night, as has been typical of this series since regular play began in 1992 (actually, even the two games before that - 1988, 1989).
Helluva gutsy call at the end by Coach Les Miles, who is perhaps the least-credited coach in the media for being what he simply is - a good coach.
I am proud of our Auburn Tigers, and the last AU scoring drive underscored their resolve to turn the momentum around, when LSU had revived and the crowd was firmly back in it.
Hats off to players from both teams, and hope Dorsey will return soon.
We have honored our friend Jeremy all week, and he was firmly on record on this board, in many posts, as believing this series had emerged into a true rivalry. I agree. It has now reached a point in history of transcending a "great series" to "a great rivalry".
And, as I sit here replaying that last play over and over in my mind, one thought remains constant - I just wish Jeremy had been here to see his Tigers win it at the end.
